I just wanted to give everyone an update to my situation! Sorry its taken so long to reply but I've had 2 family emergencies and trying to find time to deal with 2 different insurance companies and Ford! This may be kinda of long but here's an update. The day after my wreck I contacted Ford and was told to leave my truck at the tow yard until further notice. 40 days went by with no word from Ford. So I called Dobbs Ford in Memphis,Tn where I purchased the truck. I explained that I had not heard a word from Ford and the Store Manager Steve Neagle told me to call the nearest Ford dealer to have them make arrangements. I called 2 dealers, Paducah Ford and Mayfield Ford, their exact words were, "You can not bring the truck here, that would just be a big headache. And we aren't going to deal with that!" So I got written statements from both dealers stating that! I called Steve Neagle at Dobbs Ford and told him, he asked if I could get the truck to them. I said yes with one condition, I will pay to have it towed there but you must agree to put the truck on the diagnostic machine when I get there!? Steve Neagle and the Service Manager on conference call both agreed! I said fine, I will be there with the truck in the morning. So I had to pay $2,000.00 cash for storage and $600.00 towing from Ky to Memphis,Tn. Upon arrival I was told Steve Neagle was out for the day and so I met the service manger, My mother and I met the service manager and he informed us that Dobbs Ford would NOT EVEN LOOK AT THE TRUCK! HE wouldn't even walk outside! I had him give me that also in writing! So after that I hired 1 of the top attorneys in Memphis. A letter was sent to Ford demanding action. Its been over 2 weeks and not a single response! We are filing a lawsuit this week against Ford Motor Company! Every single thing has been documented. My new Sea Doo and trailer were totaled, $20,000.00! I have owned approx 25 Ford vehicles and can't believe their actions! If this has happened to you please contact me ASAP, I already have others and will proceed full force against Ford! I will check this everyday in case you want your voice heard as well. For any non believers, I have more than enough proof against Ford....in writing! Thank you to everyone that's contacted me with help! I really appreciate it...

Before I purchased my 2011 I researched hard on any problems/known issues. This is probably the 7 or 8th thread/article I've read about the transmission and brakes locking up at hwy speeds. I'm quite nervous now.
I smell a recall from ford.

Thx for bumping a useless thread. Calm down and enjoy your truck.

I'm calm and I look forward to my truck. I thought I would chime in since everyone thinks he's trolling when really, there's many people who have experienced this with their truck.

man this seriously sucks. I dont know how much you guys are familiar with the issue honda/acura was having with their v6 matted transmissions from 99-03, but it was a similar problem. It was rare, but some of them would down shift to 2nd on the freeway, causing the motor to red line, actually go past red line, ceasing the motor and locking everything up, as if you had put the tranny in reverse.
I have had a bad feeling about my tranny since i bought my truck. Especially with the hard/rough intermittent up and down shifts.
im reffering another friend to this thread who also, previously, had to experience honda/acura problems.

Which Trans. are in these trucks? I went camping with a friend of mine last year and he was pulling his Camper and his 09 f150 4.6 I think 6 speed Trans. in Tow mode did this and about put us through the windshield, we was only running about 25 mph going down hill when it did this, it scared the crap out of us. The rpm's went all the way into the red on the tach. I guess the weight of the trailer kept the tires from locking up so the speak. If we hadn't had all that weight on the rear tires we would have probably crashed too. I told him about this thread and the others who have had this very dangerous condition happen. I hope we find a solution before someone gets killed! Please keep us informed!
