Default Upkeep while away for school

Here's the deal,

I'm in college right now in MA, while my truck is sitting at home back in FL. I am gone for around 2 months at a time, sometimes more. My dad is nice enough to help run it and stuff, but how often should it be started and driven around? I have noticed that when it sits for more than a day without being driven, oxidation builds on the brake pads, so I can only imagine how bad it would be if it sat for more than a week... It's still a very new truck. 2013 Scab with 3000 miles. Please give me some tips to make sure that it is still perfectly drivable when I get back home from being away.

Thanks for all the help.

Leave it and then come back and start it in two months. I have never seen rust on brake pads, only on discs and both will come off when you brake hard.

Starting it every day or two will only wear out your engine and stater motor and systems. The only thing I would do is fill it up with premium to the top, disconnect the battery, crack the window open AND park it, and throw a air freshener in it.

Yeah oxidation on brakes pretty much happens to every vehicle that sits for a good 14-15 hours. You usually dont notice cuz by the time you get where youre going its already gone

Add stabil to the tank, put it on a battery tender, and leave it sit. When you do come home drive it enough to use all the gas in the tank so when you leave again you can refill it and repeat.
