Default Upgrading the radio keep sync?

So I've dually decided on what radio I'm going to upgrade into my truck. The part I'm stuck on is it worth the 100$ for the adapter to keep sync? My truck (2011) don't really know much about sync. Only thing I know is I hit the button, and say Bluetooth Audio, that's the only thing I use it for, would I be okay skipping it, or are other things tied in with sync that I will also miss out on?
Thanks

In that case, just get a stereo that has Bluetooth, and to hell with Sync.

Yeah I already picked a radio out, a touch screen. Bluetooth, nav ready, everything. But not sure if I need to keep sync, I have no idea what it does for me besides saying Bluetooth audio haha

The only good thing about keeping sync is not needing to install a mic for your bluetooth. If that doesn't bother you, then you can probably ditch it.

So I can't keep sync with that radio.. not a big deal and running the mic isn't that big of a deal, I'm just stuck on what steering wheel control adaptor to go with.

Cant help with the adapter but I am curious about one thing. Vehicle Health Reports...does anybody use this function or is it necessary for anything? I've run it one time just to do a Sync upgrade if I remember right. But I guess if you don't have Sync, you wouldn't need the reports, right?

Never used vehicle reports.
Anyway I guess I've decided on the idatalink maestro rr. It's on it's way and we will see how it goes

I've used it once or twice, but honestly, it doesn't show me anything that I couldn't already check myself by just physically looking at the truck.

That said, for all I know, there is a lot more data behind the scenes that Ford is using for some purpose, but the actual report you get when you go online is actually less detailed than either a simple visual examination of your truck or the multi-point inspection you get when you're at the dealership for service.

Well I am re thinking my idea, instead I may just keep the stock radio, get a 6 channel line output converter and do subs and amp upgraded door speakers, seems too much of a hassle to upgrade the radio, so many wiring adaptors and stuff
