I'm even hesitant on painted calipers bc the paint hold in a certain about of the heat
See my last post above.

In regard to the pad types, you can now get “street” pads on all 4’s with the kits from StopTech.

I’ll have a chance to really break in the pads and rotors (and test out the new calipers) this weekend. Lots of driving and tough roads in God’s north country.

I was being sarcastic when I made that statement up above. I couldn't careless what people think of my truck and what I do to it and that includes you. Have a nice day.

If you want to get all high and mightly about my post- read my post again there chief. Everything I said is 100% correct. You don't need to cover a caliper, and it does degrade heat dissipation- airflow does not affect how heat is radiated from a body.

Didn't say a thing about brake dust or that they would damage your brakes in any way.

Apparently you DO care what people think about your truck because you jumped right the **** down people's throats over the caliper covers.

Only when confronted with extremely erroneous information and your post is nothing but, if the caliper covers do anything they add to the heat dissipation by acting as a heat sink, they are after all made of aluminum and steel, heat will transfer thru the brackets to the shield giving an extra huge surface area for heat to bleed off.

Anything else you'd like answers about?

That's not a caliper cover though. Try again.

Sure, so you think they are super functional obviously- do you think they look good too?
