Default Upfitter Switch Locations?

Hey guys,
I've got a 2009 F-150 FX4. I've got a 52" windshield lightbar, a 7" bumper lightbar, and 4 5" pods on the bumper (DV8 steel bumper so I have room). I currently have a box I bought from autozone that they're all wired to and are controlled by a wireless remote in the cab. I wanted it to avoid the hassle of running all the wiring through the firewall into the cab. Ever sense I got it, the signal from the remote works sometimes and doesn't work other times. Every now and then I've had to step outside and point the remote basically through the grill to get the signal through. Needless to say, I now want to hardwire switches to the cab. What locations do y'all have them mounted on? Also, would it be possible to mount switches on the driver side a-pillar? Or does it have an airbag that it'd interfere with? Thanks for your time.

I've got a wireless light controller in my truck too and have no issues controlling it in the cab. Where do you have the receiver/power box mounted in the engine bay? Only thing I can think of is it's just in a bad spot and there's lots of interference or it's too far away. I believe the driver side A pillar has an airbag behind so I wouldn't recommend putting any switches there. Something I always wanted to do on my truck but never got around to was put some switches on the headliner near the sunglasses holder. Check out the switch plates that this guy makes, they're pretty sweet. No affiliation, I just think they look cool haha.

Do you have the blazer 8 switch one? That's what I've got. I have it tucked to the side of the battery compartment which is near the front left of the engine bay (looking from the front of the truck. I suppose it could be getting more interference than needed. Where is yours mounted? Yeah, I've seen those switchplates. They're really nice, but I'm kind of iffy about slicing into my headliner lol.

There is definitely an airbag on the pillars.

Custom made with wiring included (not hard to run wires in these trucks, and can even order the battery fuse panel adapter plate

If you dont' want the headliner approach he has some other options.

This is also a good location. You can fit up to three switches. Requires cutting though.

To get the wires through the grommet in the firewall, do you drill through it or just tuck it through the side?
