Eh? Are you trying to imply I work for Bilstein or something?

no. For someone who just got done posting sarcasm, I figured you would recognize it.

It sounds like only people who use these 5100s offroad have problems...I guess I'm screwed because there's no way I'm going to keep my truck on the pavement at all times. (I had my 5100s installed a few weeks ago by a dealer, cost a pretty penny.)

I certainly hope your wrong. I use mine off road all the time but I take it easy. I also have mine set to the 2nd highest level.

I've used the **** out of my 5100s off road and at full lift. However my truck is a 2004. It looks as though they have a different design for the newer trucks. Definitely not as beefy as what I have. Cheap outsourcing? Heres what mine look like...

I had been leaning towards the 5100s but i just liked the adjustability of the rancho and not needing to take them to a shop to have the coilsprings installed. Read through the whole thread and think i made the right choice. And if i didn't, i guess i know which direction to go.

can't beat the rancho for the price... you can damn near kill someone trying to compress brand new F150 springs

That is when you include the price of installation. They are super-easy to install..

Revival of a 1 and half year old thread...

Had a buddy with a 2010 fx4 like mine, but i had a spacer, he ran 5100s. His rode great on road, but we do quite a bit of off road.

This ranges from Mud down back home in GA/SC to Rausch Creek in PA, and New York near my school. We were wheeling on some trails and mud in MD, and his 5100 snapped in the exact same place, looked like a weak weld, got it replaced, and redid his suspension for piece of mind.

I have a 6inch BDS, looking to raise the truck a tad more (1.5-2) all around. I wheel just about every weekend, so i searched if this was a mass problem. (never jumped my truck as a note haha).

Just wondering if after another year, if anyone that actually offroads consistently has broken their 5100s? **not just pavement, cause I hear they ride great**

Otherwise i may add my 1.5" spacer on top of my BDS instead (or save for some $$ coilovers)

and before the lift...
