Default Unknown Dash Message

Hi Everyone,

I have noticed that when I start the truck in the morning I drive about 3-4 blocks and the center of the dash flashes a message for 1-2 seconds and a chime goes off. Then the normal dash information appears. It happens so fast I have not been able to read the message. All the gauges are normal and the truck runs fine. It maybe a standard information but I can' catch in time to read it. Does anyone what the message says? Thanks Mark

So it's not happened too many times then? you can't catch part of it?

Try seeing if there are any DTC stored using a scan tool.

I haven't been able read any part of it yet. I haven't used a scan tool yet. I will try to catch it in the morning.

'Well nothing happen this morning. Drove it and no mystery message after 2-4 blocks down the road. It occurs about 50% of the time. I drove it at lunch without a seat belt on for 1/2 mile and no message. I will try again next weekend. It's not my daily driver. Thanks For all the suggestions. Mark

Well the message only flash once in the last month. It last about 1 second. I believe it said, "Check Advance Track". I checked the truck with my code reader and came back with no codes or history.
I had a local shop check the truck with their code reader and it came back with the same results. So no further action at this time.

It's possibly a wheel speed sensor starting to go out then, or even if your discs are a little warped.

Thanks I will keep an eye out for for that. I know the dealer put on new brakes and rotors last April. Good to know. Mark
