Default Lets talk about the upcoming 2012 F150

Any ideas on when ford might release some information on the 2012 year. What do you guys honestly think they have add or remove for the 2012 year? I know it has been discussed before but we need to bring up the subject again!

I think the only thing we know for sure so far is that the tenth digit of the VIN will change from a B to a C...

But to play along

Things I'd love to see for 2012, but absolutely don't expect:
  • Factory HID lights.
  • Key-in-pocket entry and start.
  • Factory remote locking tailgate.
  • Improved full time "terrain management" 4x4 mode without losing low range.
  • New front grilles on non-Raptors, at least half as cool as the Raptor grille!
  • Ecoboost engine option in the Raptor.

I'll second the HID/projector option, as well as:

- Heated and cooled seats as options for FX4 & above
- Ambient lighting on FX4 & above
- My Ford Touch
- Oxford white option for Platinum like they did in 09 (not sure if they did this for 10)
- Tow mirror option regardless of engine (can't get them with the 5.0 from the factory)
- 4:10 gear option on FX4 and above

If everybody had them, they would not be cool....

HID projectors would be awesome! it would save me the hassle of retrofitting my own set!

Available cooled seats (most trim pkg, cloth or leather) for those of us in the South would be nice.
Power fold mirror options available on XLT.
4x4 Off-Road pkg should have real all-terrain/off road tires (BFG AT for ex.), standard spray-in liner.

1st I hope Ford takes all the fake blonde wood trim and starts a big *** bon fire. Then replace it with some cool looking hydrodipped black carbon fiber looking trim.

2nd is a gated shifter for M. Also some paddle shifters behind the the steering wheel instead of a button on the shifter.

And the last and best thing would be an ecoboost twin turbo 5.0 V-8 with 500 hp and at least 500 ft lb tq. and of course a real true dual exhaust system that sounds at least as good as the mustang gt! I'd pay $2500.00 extra for that engine/exhaust package.. oh and one other thing would be nice to have is optional upgraded brake system to go with that added power..ok I'll put down the pipe now...

Yup. Forgot about that one! With the new tranny, some paddle shifters would really be awesome. I have them on my Touareg (retrofitted the euro parts) and use them constantly...

Want to do a quick pass on the highway? Just blip down a gear or two and and you are in the power-band and can pass without diving into the gas pedal.

Coming into a curve? Same deal... gentle speed reduction without touching the brake.

I know a lot of us Platinum owners would have liked to have had a factory option of REALLY black leather seats vs. the dark brown....fine print distinction!?....I actually got mine changed out because of an ordering SNAFU between dealer and Ford, but ordering black and actually getting brown just isnt right.....how about a choice....smile
