I just bought mine yesterday and when I first saw the flat floor I knew I would need something. After stumbling on this thread I was able to make it out of stuff in my garage. The only thing I bought was black carpet at Orileys.

The 3M adhesive stays rubbery and bonds really well. Most glue when cured will be hard and crack.

I agree on the 3M adhesive. I use the light repositionable cause it's less than $5 per can. It holds exceptionally well on most any clean surfaces. It can provide a challenge to remove but it works very well. Also good for sanding disks.

Finally started to work on my underseat storage today. Just gotta add the black matching carpet and will be using the 3m adhesive spray via the recommendations in this thread! Excited to no longer have stuff rolling around in the back around turns.

Well, I went and built my own underseat storage containment for my 2013 XLT SuperCab. BIG thanks to everyone who’s posted here, all of the feedback from others who have done this helped me out. I built mine out of ½” plywood, screwed the ends onto the front board & used 2 corner brackets on each end for reinforcement, then covered it in generic black automotive carpet from AutoZone. I used 3M fabric adhesive to glue the carpet to the wood, and it was a bit of a PITA, but considering I had never carpeted a sub box or anything before, I think it produced the best possible result.

Figuring out the proper size for each piece was a bit tedious; I used thick cardboard to make templates of the side pieces, then used those to cut the wood, but it still took some tinkering. So, in the hope of helping others who are interested in producing the same storage box, I traced templates of my end pieces; see pictures for specific measurements I found. When I have a scanner handy, I’ll scan the templates and post them (they’re on 8.5x11 paper), so they could be printed and used as an actual template.

All that's left is to tether the containment "box" to the truck, so that it can't slide forward. I'm thinking some sort of strap around the mid-support and around the jack kit, screwed onto the back side of the box.

The templates I created, for the end pieces, are attached. If printed on 8-1/2 x 11 paper, these templates should be sized correctly and can be used to replicate the end pieces I made. While it’s reasonable to believe that these ends SHOULD work for any 09-14 SuperCab F-150, I can’t guarantee it, so use these templates at your own discretion.

Outstanding. Thanks for posting the templates. I'll be doing a modified version of this soon (need to account for my floor mats as they go all the way to the back of the seating area and I do not want to cut them up. Will also add a bracket similar to the Tuffy Box so that the box doesn't move around at all.

He has a SCab and you have a SCrew and they are different seat bottoms AFAIK so I doubt his templates will work for you.

Doh! I thought the space looked more cramped but I was up way too late last night and didn't make the connection. Thanks!

Nice work and thanks for providing the templates
