Default Undercover Under Engine

The "undercover" under the engine came off. How many bolt clips to refasten? It was hanging on by two when it was falling off (ironically after my oil change). Thanks.

It should be a total of 4 holding it on.

Are you talking about the cloth piece under the truck? Mine came off and was dragging on the highway just yesterday - also after an oil change!

You can take it off and leave it off.

Default Undercover > Heat Shield

Rhett: Yes! I learned today some call it a heat shield. Your pics are just how mine appeared when it "fell off" after oil change. I don't even want to battle with Ford as I've been having trouble with the service department although purchased from them.

Service told me 6 bolts/twist clips. My friend replacing it will determine for certain.

I've heard also it's not entirely necessary but read a good reason why it is somewhere but can't find the link now. If it was put on for a reason, I'm going to put it back.

Thanks all!

I've owned a 2011 and an 2013 and sooner or later it will fall off again because service people don't affix it correctly. Save your effort and just remove it. 100,000 miles between both of these trucks and no issues.

Yeah I just took it off because the front two screws were gone.
It looks like just four screws by the way, but I haven't looked just too closely at it.
