Default Undercover Swing Case Question

I have a 2010 SCAB w. 5.5' bed. I also a soft TonnoPro Trifold soft cover. The locking handle of the TonnoPro sticks down 6-1/2 inches from the top of the plastic guard on the top of the bed side.

My question is: How close to the top of the bed side does the top of stowed Swing Case come? In other words, will these two accessories play well together?

In a pinch I can shorten the locking handle a bit, but I would rather not.

Thanks
Rod

That thing is awesome, do they make one door the other side?

Yes they make them for both sides. Mine is on the passenger side.

Edit: Just went out and measured mine. Top of bed rail to top of Swing Case is right at 6".

Mike and John,

Thanks much, the photos help a lot, as does the actual measurement.

It looks like I will have to modify the lever or shorten it by that 1/2 inch, or probably a bit more, to make it work. Maybe I can heat the end and bend a crook in it?

I really want to get one of those swing cases.

Thanks
Rod

OK, I can answer my own question now.

Swing Case installed, Bad News - Good News

The Bad news is the TonnoPro cover handle extends just a little bit too far and hits the top of the swing case. It's about 3/8" too long. The plastic handle can easily be trimmed to fit.

The Good News, I didn't have to trim it. Swing the case out, Lock down the TonnoPro, and swing the case back and latch it. The case pushes the handle just a little bit, but it doesn't seem to be a problem.

I'm a happy camper!

Good to hear it'll work. I'm sure you'll really like it.

I just installed a drivers-side swing case in my '12 SCAB, 6.5' bed and it is great. Literally about 5 minutes to install, works perfectly, fits pefectly. I readily endorse it.

Are those swing cases lockable?
