Default undercarraige rust, treatment/prevention

Hey folks, my 2011 has rust developing on bits and parts all over the place under the truck. What is the best method of controlling all of it? Mostly suspension and the rear axle. Nothing on the frame yet. Being in the northeast I want to keep the rust at bay.

Are there brush or spray on applications?

Boiled linseed oil.

I grew up on the coast, driving the beaches daily. This is what guys who regularly hit the beach do. But you a pump sprayer, park in the yard, or lay out newspapers in the driveway, and spray it on everything under your truck. Because of frequency on the beach, we all reapplied yearly. For everyday driving, you should get a few years out of an application.

You can get it at Home Depot.

Crawl under the truck every summer spray asphalt guard on it, and then high heat black paint. Wire brush or wheel the crap out of everything as well. I got a 94 that looks cleaner than anything over a year old in my town lol

I'm using http://www.corrosionx.com/corrosionx.html and http://www.corrosionx.com/corrosionx-heavy-duty.html on mine, it is what I use on my boat trailer and axles. We'll see how it does. Blasted the exposed bolts and bits that look like they are susceptible to surface rust and will spot treat other areas as needed. But then I just saw this: http://www.corrosionx.com/max-wax.html, so maybe that's an option too.

I got out the abrasive gun this past weekend and went all over my undercarriage. There wasn't that much rust, but ill find any reason to use the blaster. I then used 3 cans of Eastwood rust encapsulator on the frame and cross members. It really is good stuff, though messy. I would have some qtips and nail polish remover to free the nozzle when it clogs. I highly recommend this stuff, despite the clogging.

I heard putting oil in a spray bottle and firing it all inside the body panels from under the vehicle works alright as well. Anyone else?
