After years of haggling w/ Ford I finally managed to get my backup camera fixed. I had the disappearing guidelines.

I must say I like the new camera. It seems to be of a much higher resolution and it's night capability is very good. My old camera was marginal in the dark and would get washed out by my auxiliary LED backup light. The new camera works great in the dark.

I am ready to pick up and move from Georgia to Colorado after reading this thread. Beautiful pics. My wife and I went out to Breckenridge last Feb to do some skiing and loved it out there. I could see myself living there. The drive from Denver to Breckenridge was awesome.

Love this thread. It's been almost two years since the last post. How does the truck look now?

It's been ages, but I figured I'd give everyone an update.

Here is the truck as it sits in 2017:

I'm now at 94,000 miles. Since I was last on the forum I've added:

- FabFour Vengeance front and rear bumpers.
- Fox 2.0 Shocks
- Camberg Upper A arm
- Deaver Long Travel Leaf Springs Springs
- Kenwood DDX 9903 Android Auto
- Removed the rear sway bar.

The truck is still going strong. In the 94k miles I've had it the only issues I've had have been:

- Backup camera replaced twice.
- AC/Heat Diverter flap replaced.
- One bad coil pack on Cylinder #6.
- Drivers side seat heating element replaced.

That's it for a truck that has not been used delicately.

Looking great Dan! Like the front bumper in particular.

My truck is still pretty much the same, except for replacing my complete-crap-and-rotted-to-dust NFab/Smittybilt steps with some Westin HDX drop steps. In fact I just bolted them on today.

Hopefully they last longer. They seem to be a much better design than the NFab's (don't hold crap inside of them, better step placement, much nicer mounting system)

Also had the drivers heat fail, bad coil connector tubes (the bit that goes between the coil and the plug), and needing to replace the plugs pretty often to keep it running smooth. Also had a O2 sensor fail, and had the full chain rattle TSB done when I had noisy startup.

Still hauls motos just fine... Last pic with the old rotten nfab's that got junked today.

Nice!

Two products that have been absolutely flawless have been:

1- The AMP Power Steps. Not a hiccup in all these years. Will certainly install these on future vehicles. They are well worth the price.

2- Truxedo Low Pro. Still going strong. Only thing I've done to it so far is replace the Velcro in the bed rails. That's it.

Once I removed the sway bar I realized just how badly it made the truck handle off-road, particularly on graded dirt roads with a bit of washboard. Just couldn't put traction down.

The Fox shocks are just as good on road and way better off-road, specially in the high speed desert stuff.

The end of an era has come!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a new Moto Hauler coming in a couple of weeks to replace this venerable war wagon.

The new Moto Hauler is a 2019 Ford F-150 Platinum Powerstroke
SuperCrew w/ 5.6 bed
Dark Marsala Leather Interior.

I'm sure I'll miss the get up and go of the EcoBoost, but it was all Boost and no Eco. Over then life of the truck I figured I averaged 12 - 13 MPG. Well off the EPA estimates.

The main reasons for getting a new truck are:

1- Age/Mileage
2- MPGs
3- Adaptive Cruise Control
4- Ventilated Seats

How come you didn't opt for the long bed? Gorgeous truck. Please keep us updated on the new power-plant!
