So I have had my truck for over a year now and my wife has never driven it. We had an argument this morning and she asked for my keys and I said no. So her mother took her where she needed to go. Is it bad that I don't trust my wife to drive my truck? She has never driven a large vehicle before.

I guess it all depends. My wife learned to drive in a 94 f150 extra cab. That truck was a beast but she enjoyed it. So now she's got the confidence to drive my 2010 Fx4 screw. She doesn't usually drive it, but if she does I trust her.
Moral of the story, don't let her drive it til you trust her. End of story. LoL

My wife generally doesn't like to drive my vehicle because it's so big but if she wanted to, I'd let her. At the end of the day, we're insured and I know she knows how to drive. If something happened it wouldn't be on purpose and she's never broke her own car. IMO, you might be a little tough on her.

If she's not used to it, then no it's not bad. My wife drives a huge suv with aftermarket rims and tint and hates how women get the poor driver stereotype, but she agrees it's 99% true!

You're talking about your wife here; after 25 years of marriage I can say that it is not about your truck, it's about your relationship with your wife. If you said 'no" because you fear for her safety since she has never driven your truck, and that you would love to take her out and test drive with her to point out some things for her, then you said "no" the right way. Now it's not about you not trusting her because of fear she might damage your beloved possession but it's all about your concern for her and her safety.
My wife has driven and damaged my larger vehicles. I always shrug it off as the damage is always fixable but happy that she was safe being in it.

Take her out in a huge open field and set some cones out and make her park and drive between the cones lmao. Jk man if I did that I would be on the dog house for weeks lol It all comes down to trust. I mean if u can't trust the women u love married and had kids with her then who can u trust? Let her drive it down some back roads to get used to it a little before going into town.

My previous girlfriend drove my Chevy and hit every curb she could. I'm glad they're both gone! The girl I'm with for a while now drives the fx4 like a champ. I trust her.

We own a 2012 FX4 Screw and i don't drive it as my daily driver i drive the VW. I trust her very much and she treats it like a baby she gets excellent fuel mileage better then me and where she works it's not mud bath so it stays clean just the way i like it. So if you love her then you should trust her!

I love her but fear that my truck will be the shape of an hour glass after she drives it from taking turns to close. It's not that I don't trust her driving the truck as I worry about her driving something twice the size of her ford fusion and not being used to it.
