Default How much stress do bilstein 5100's put on suspension parts

I've tried searching Google and haven't had much luck. Might not be searching proper terminology.

I'm looking into purchasing the bilstein 5100's. They won't be maxed out, I'll either have them at the second or third setting. I still want some rake for towing.

How much extra stress is added to the cv/ball joints and tie rod ends? Obviously the angles won't be the same as stock because your raising the front end. But is it enough stress put on the other components to warrant damage down the road.

I wouldnt worry about that. 1.5" is pretty safe. If you have a lot of miles on components and run over 2" maybe your bj/ucas would go sooner than later.

The general consensus is that anything less than 2.5" level won't stress anything on a stock suspension (4wd, not sure if this applies to 2wd).

Won't be an issue. I put Bilsteins on my 2012 shortly after purchasing. I now have about 172,000 miles and no front end wear, or having to replace anything.I have them set at the highest , which I believe was 2.25".

its doesnt change the dimensions that much with 5100's as it just compresses the spring more to give it lift. thus it will still have the same travel as a stock shock.
