Did you press the "air on windshield" button on climate control? On auto mine works, but not crazy good like actual defrost. When you hit the defrost button it directs all the air to the windshield. Also, I was told on floor -defrost it blows hotter air on the floor so it rises, cooler air out the top vents. Who knows about that last part though, meh.

I haven't gone faster than 80 in my truck. I don't see why not going over 100 is a problem. Haha just get a chip and dont die

I'm talking about the RPM limiter...aka "rev limiter". After reading all the responses that have been stated by dealer service; not replicating the problem or having stored trouble codes, lead me to believe that it is in fact the rev limiter. Consequently, it happened to me today...the engine going into limp mode is the same feeling as having the rev limiter kick in only that the engine did not recover and resume normal operation. By the rev limiter kicking in, the ECM did not think that there was a malfunction so there were no codes thrown. The CEL flashing is an indicator that the rev limiter has been activated (every Ford I have owned has done the same thing). So this is why customers are getting the "no codes" response. I had a lengthy discussion with my service writer who actually knew what he was talking about, I then discussed this with a field engineer who admitted that in all likelyhood, this was the issue. So, hopefully there will be a fix soon...

It's a turbo, and really a 93 octane motor. If you go to pull it hard buy a tank of 93 for it. Also if wheel slippage the traction control will affect power. Turn it off if you want to play withit. Of course a 30 minute warmup around now is necessary also.

if your truck 2011 model it is possible to have that problem. how i know? i had one once. they bring it to dealer they say everything normal they change oxygen censor etc but problem continues after driving sometime. like you said its dangerous when you need to make quick left or right turns. does not speed and suddenly cache speed
