Good point. I can only tell why I did not go that route...
For me, that EPAS thread with over 250 pages scared the crap out of me. Some are on their 3rd power steering rack. Just did not want to risk it.
2nd was warranty. Something tells me if my engine failed with a blower sitting on top, they would probably blame it.
3rd was my last truck had a blower on a V6 and while I LOVED the sound of a twin screw, I wanted the sound of a V8... This is my first.

So these are MY reasons and just as many could be made for any other engine choice. To each their own...

I can think of 16 reasons why the 6.2L should be more popular than it is:

All of the responses so far kind of confirm that you can look at Motor Trends list as either the top 10 or the bottom 10.....and I too now like a thread comparing the 6.2 to the EB instead of the 5.0....this has been FUN to read through every day!!!!
If I could have proven that the 6.2 might have gotten 10 or 11 mpg towing our TT instead of the 7 to 8 mpg I get with the EB, I might have decided to get the V8.

You ecoboosters just love to jump in on any thread that has 6.2 in the title and try to qualify your engine as being the best and if you think that you would be dead wrong in the eyes of anyone who starts up a 6.2 everyday.
did I anywhere say that my eco was better than a 6.2/5.0 ? Please re-read 'cause I don't think I did.

I'm so proud to have two vehicles on that list. Brings a tear to my eye.

I will take paying for 16 plugs every few years compared to the violent shake video I just saw on this forum!

And how much do they cost? If we can afford gas for this thing, what's a few plugs? Lol! And if she can do it...

All in good fun. Arguments can be made for any motor...at least they are all Fords!
