Thanks for the heads up about the space issue. I temporarily put them in and yes the window does hit the magnet. I've looked everywhere for a 6x8 speaker spacer and haven't had any luck.

Looks like I'm going to have to make something myself....

I bought two sets of these and used 2-spacers on each of the front doors when I installed my Kappas. Worked perfectly to eliminate interference with the window.

I also installed the tweeters in location A. Fantastic sound. At first I was going to add an amp, but the speakers have "broken in" nicely after a few months use and now I no longer feel like I need an amp.

Finding a spot to mount the crossover is a pain. I ended up mounting mine on the inside sheet metal of the door (i.e. door panel) using "No More Nails" two sided tape. There is lots of room away form the window mechanism.

again, i nominate adding a center channel to raise the stage to head level. it's less intrusive and MUCH cheaper to return to "stock" if need be. Once you cut the sails on the door panel, you have to leave it forever (or worse case, the tweeter fails, that speaker set is no longer made and you have to replace the whole component and hope to god the new tweeter will cover the old install holes) or buy a whole new door panel to return to stock. my method cuts a 35$ plastic panel and 15$ rubber mat.

You could also goto Ford and buy the A-pillars that have the tweeters in them, then mod them and put your Infinity tweets there! It would look factory then....Just another option for ya!

I put mine next to the handle bars but wish I would have put them on the dash (sound will bounce off the windshield) or found a way to mount them on the pillars. Next truck I know what to do.
