Default Tuscany conversion-saw this at an Alabama dealer

Wife and I went to Orange Beach, Alabama for New Years to visit friends. Put 2100 miles on the Lariat! Stopped at the Ford dealer in Foley, Alabama and saw this truck. It's a Tuscany conversion. It was a '13 and originally listed for 48k. The sticker after the conversion was 72k!! Ouch! It was used so I don't know how much they were asking. Nice truck but no way on the price.

Never understood why dealers do those 'conversions'. I can't imagine it's a big seller or nets them more money than stock.

Personally, I think it's kinda ugly, and why would anyone pay $72k for a truck?

According to the top salesman at my local dealer they do it because Ford cannot get them enough Raptors. He said they would much rather have Raptors to sell but cannot get them. There are two things I like on the truck, one being the wheels and tires and number two being the fender flares. The rest is too gaudy IMO

Are you kidding me, the margins on those trucks are huge. They charge $25k for a lift, wheels and tires, and fender flares. What a joke. That truck is actually not too hideous, usually they are over-the-top gaudy. That hood is terrible though.

Also, a truck like this is good for advertising. Park it in the front row and the rednecks will swarm in lol.

Interesting. I guess I just don't understand the Tuscany conversion in general. Seen them on F250s as well. Not my style but I'm sure it appeals to someone. Ridiculous pricing though.

Was there a competition to see how much after market crap someone could put on a truck?

I can't imagine this truck appealing to anyone older than 12.

I can't understand either. $24 grand you could build something similar and probably still pocket a crap load.

I don't mind the rocker panel trim though.

Get rid of the chrome handles and the fugly grill and it's not a bad looking truck.

Me, get rid of the hood and the butt ugly brush bar and I wouldn't mind it for maybe $55,000 new. No way for the 72k. I do like the wheel/tire combo.
