True story.

I think the AFE intake is about the only one that will add around 10 HP coupled with a good tune. These trucks nowadays don't benefit much from a CAI. The exhaust won't add any performance gains. Purely for sound.

No they didn't. I verified this with my truck. For some reason FORD omitted the ability to enter in your own tire size and only left you with a list of OEM tire sizes.

I've yet to see a dealer do it. If you have had a dealer recalibrate your speedo to a tire size outside what comes stock on your truck (some trims have multiple tire sizes), please create your own thread. I've never heard of anyone to ever have it done. You would be the first if you can share how/when it was done.

I have the same computer the dealer uses and it's true that only stock sizes can be programmed with the system they have.

Here is a screen shot of the actual system with my truck and the tire programming section. It is Vin# dependent.

My dealer said they would do it for 1 hour labor charge. They didn't even bat an eye when I asked.

Heartthrob claims +39 rwhp with their F150 Ecoboost 4" cat back.

So did mine...then they failed...then they refunded my money...then they admitted that they can only do stock sizes.

And you've had it done? What size tires did you change to?

Like I said, if any of you have had your dealer successfully recal your speedo to something OTHER than A stock size that your year/model/trim level came with and it is now reading accurately, then start your own thread because you would be the first one on this forum to have it done. Also ask your dealer to share with the rest of the Ford dealerships around the country on how to do this.

No way...I'll believe it when I see it on a dyno. Before and after. On a test other than their own.

I remember having to use a formula to get correct speedo operation as far back as 95 on trucks with the digital odometer using the Ford computer.

The tire size was unlimited back then but the calculation was a pita, accurate but still a pain.

Today with all the advance technology you would think it would be as easy as clicking an icon in the program, and it is, but the unlimited part has vanished and were stuck with what Ford wants to allow.

I put the thinking on that right up there with removing the driver side grab handle from the A pillar.
