True Twin Exhaust vs. 1 in 2 out Twin Exhaust
I'm about to pull the trigger on a DynoMax Super Turbo, but the exhaust guy recommends a true twin exhaust (2 mufflers, 2 sets of piping) vs. 1 muffler with 2 out piping where he'll do a "y" split out the back.
I need input whether the true twin exhaust really does make a difference performance wise (what is it?) or this guys is just trying to take my money... I have new idea - tried to do a search here but came up with nothing.
I have a 2012 SCREW FX2 3.6L V6 Ecoboost - anyone have feedback on Dynomax Super Turbo installed on them?
Feedback is greatly appreciated, Wednesday is when I pull the trigger...
Thanks

A true dual system will give some additional performance over a SI/DO system. Are you putting on headers or high flow cats? Also...not sure if it matters, but might cause some warranty concerns.

Definetly true duals is the way to go. You'll get way more exhaust flow... and more power. If you're not worried about your warranty, throw headers up front, high flow cats... or no cats and true duals.

Ok here's the project:
I'm going with a true duals catback with a Dynomax Super Turbo on each side with a 2.5" piping out behind the rear wheel. I will take a video of the before and after - and post it here. Thanks for all the feedback.

I checked with the dealership where I got my truck and true to what people have posted on here, as long as you do a catback it doesn't void any warranty - I will stick to that for now.
