Hopefully one day this will be a Gixxer or a Triumph, but for now I'm just riding an old GS500. Nice and reliable, simple to work on, I'll be keeping it as a run around after I get the funds saved up for the bigger bike! Saving gas is so much more fun on this than it would have been buying a small car

Tank and plastics are black now, frame is next. Just waiting on a speedo cable to get my speedometer installed, clubman bars in a week, and some more aggressive rear sets. Forever a work in progress

I like that. I have the bug but my dad has straight up gone bonkers again. Before I was born, my dad was AFM California state champ in 85-86. The last year or so we started doing track days and this year we decide to go racing. We both race amateur middleweight and formula middleweight, but I got taken out in qualifying in round one so I have missed the whole first half f the season. Pops is currently 2nd in points, and the pace has dropped 3 seconds a lap from round one so I'll have some time to make up this weekend. Friday is a open session track day so I have time to latch on to someone and figure out where I can drop the time . My dad is now looking at buying a 250 and a SV so he can race in more classes. I guess 4 races a weekend is not enough for him.

2010 Harley Ultra Limited. I just put on the quick detach kit to take the tour pack off for a street glide look when the wife isn't along.

Back in the mid `70's I put close to 30k miles commuting from west side of Fort Worth to Dallass Suzuki six day a week on the great grandfather of your GS500, my GS450S

Hella fun, AND cheap, bike to work through traffic!

That's GREAT! My dad was adamantly against me racing until I qualified for my first GNF and didn't have the $$ to make it. He helped me get there and pick up some hardware in `78.
