glad my truck is white.... now if ford would just fix the damn thing ...

i use microfiber towels to dry it, and i don't wash it in full sun so i have enough time - i make sure to keep wetting the whole truck down while i'm soaping it up section by section, then i give it a full rinse. next i dry the windows first since thats the most obvious place for water spots to be visible on a white truck ... then work my way from the top down. i do the chrome last ... nice thing about chrome is you can always get the water spots off so if water dries by then no big deal. I also don't wash it constantly - more of a maintenance issue than trying to waste too much time keeping it perfectly shiny. I doubt at the end of my days I'll look back and wish I had spent more time detailing a truck

I've used 100% cotton towels on my previous bike and my current one and no swirls. I've used Zaino products on it from the start.

The trick is to make sure the towel is 100% cotton and I never use circular motion; always just front to back, as the folks at Zaino recommend. Here's a pic of the finish on my 89 Bagger:

And on my current '99 Heritage:

Our pressure washer is hooked up to a 500 gallon tank that fills with fresh rain water. I can usually pick out a couple spots on the windows so I always give them a shot of glass cleaner. Other than that it turns out very well. By the next day my truck is coated in dust again anyways, the joys of living on an acreage with gravel roads...

Yes! Very interesting indeed. Can't wait to see how much it costs though.

I tried that method a few times, and the water here is so hard with so many deposits in it that the spots were everywhere when I got back, and I spent the same amount of time detail-spraying the vehicle as I would have if I had just stayed in the driveway and hand-dried it without driving it.

Have a whole house water softener that is also hooked up to outside spigot I use for washing cars. Waffle weave towel from Griot's Garage.. Tried cariety of waxes, Zaino seems to be the best I have used. Also have a product called ***ken, it is a waterless car wash. Works great....
