Just bought a 2013 ecoboost fx 4 with appearance pkage. When I drive it I noticr sometimes the vehical shakes a bit feels kinda like going over little bumps. Dealer said the tires on the fx4 appearance are expensive and probably need to be forced balanced. This sound true? I just bought it yesterday and dealer said I cam return it if I'm uncomfortable. What do you guys think?

Could just be the ride of the 20" wheels. What tires are on it? Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenza or Pirelli Scorpion ATR?

In the user manual of my 2012 f-150 it says that for the first few miles of a drive after overnight parking you can experience vibration from your tires due to them being "out of round shape". This is because the mass of the vehicle.
I experience this behavior sometimes in the morning for the first few miles.

My 2013 5.0 FX-4 does this but it's only noticeable from 30-35 mph with light throttle and goes away when I let off the throttle. This is the first time I've ever heard anyone else mention it. Any ideas what causes it at these speeds?

Retired and loving it!
Before you go any further at the dealer, have them check the balance of the tires and the driveshaft.

its not the tires. I have been dealing with the same issue on my 12 for almost a year. Dealer cant figure it out. They have replaced tires, road forced them...the vibration is still there.

I'd like to see how I can assist with this. If you haven't already, I'd recommend taking your truck to a dealer for diagnosis. If you still are experiencing this concern, please send me a PM with your name, phone number, VIN, mileage, and dealer info.
