Default truck just died......

So while driving down the highway this morning all of a sudden I feel the truck slowing down and steering get heavy. Takes me a second to realize the engine has stopped. Of course im going up hill through an intersection when it happens. Im stalled out right in the middle. I look at the gauge cluster. Says low oil pressure. Im thinking, WTF!!! Put it in park and try to restart. Fires right up. I get the he'll out of the intersection. Drives fine all the way home.

So what happened??? No idea. But I can't believe ford would program a vehicle to shut itself down like that possibly stranding the driver completely defenseless. How about a warning beforehand.

Btw it's a 2011 lariat limited. Im calling the dealer in the morning

Hey my truck has done this too, it has nothing to do with the Oil Pressure light, that just happens cause the key is still in the on position and the the engine is off, hence low oil pressure. I have take mine to the dealership and they have not been able to duplicate the problem. My theory is that it has something to do with the fuel system, probably the computer that controls the fuel system. Because not only has my truck stalled randomly while driving, but it also does it on road trips when I stop for gas after I fill up, it sometimes wont start for 5-10 minutes. All this to say, keep trying, and demand that they fix it and you wont take it back from their repair shop till they do. And make sure they give you a proper loaner not an enteprise crap car.
