Nothing new to add here. I have filed an initial claim. I understand what you are talking about however I am going to file if it all works out. I still can not file if I choose not to go with them. They are working with the body shop now to verify the repairs needed. Time goes slow over the holidays.

Should have some more news later next week.
CJ7 the wording for this part doesn't matter for my claim. It is all being processed as a comprehensive claim, so basically the same as nature like hail damage.

Finally got every thing moving again. They can be slow, but hey they gave me a rental for this...

So they tried to get me an aftermarket mirror. I saw the mirror, decent quality actually, however it didn't have the right glass in the main portion. It lacked the magnification part. So basically it didn't say "Objects in mirror are closer than they appear"

So on those terms i am getting a new ford OEM mirror. Actually I am taking the payout for this.

The ford OEM mirror on my truck part number is 9L3X-17682-EC. That part is $525 bucks.

The ford OEM mirrors through their accessory department is DL3Z-17696-CA. $650 bucks through ford, and $528 through Tasca. That is for the pair of them. Under $550 shipped. They are now on their way. A few of the local ford dealers couldn't come close to matching the price. My out of pocket expenses on this won't be too bad. Plus I will have a complete extra drivers mirror in case.
