Truck got his first pheasant
Got my first pheasant this year. Well my trucks tow mirror did. I have the max tow package so the bigger, factory tow mirrors. My truck is a 2011 Lariat 6.2
I really do not want to go aftermarket as these are great. No vibrations and the convex smaller mirror.
Mine are not powered or heated. But I do have the chrome cap, and the puddle lights and the turn signals. And Yes I like the chrome
Here is what I have found.

My question to you guys is can I just buy the passenger side? So if I do have to buy the both sides, how much work is it to hook up the power folding / heated ones? Is the wiring harness already there?

I think as long as your truck came with a factory rear window defrost, then the wiring will be in place. Also, you must have the button to energize the rear defrost which also sends power to the side mirror defrost feature. All this goes through a relay in the electrical system according to the electrical schematics for the F150.

If those are factory mirrors, then yes, you can buy just the passenger side. I had to replace the passenger-side mirror on my truck earlier this year; I went to Tasca to get the part number, then took the print-out to my Ford dealer, and they price-matched it. IIRC, it was around $120 for the whole mirror assembly, though mine isn't the tow mirror.
Replacing the mirror is pretty easy, too. IIRC, there are four screws/bolts holding the door panel in place (two at the bottom of the door panel, one behind the inside door release handle, and one in the door pull of the armrest), and three nuts holding the mirror assembly to the truck. It took all of five minutes to do on my STX.

Thanks fellas! Yes these should be factory mirrors. Truck has the max tow package. But I did buy this used, with 21k miles. Thanks so much for that link. I may give them a call to make sure I get the right one.
Hoping to get the quote here soon. As I am seeing just the parts for one of these mirrors is $500-$600. So well under my deductible.
I do have factory rear defrost. So perhaps my wiring is there already!? So my next question is if the wiring is there, and I plug in a heated mirror would it work? In other words I wonder if I would have to "turn on" anything or rather would Ford have to turn on something...

Since you have a Lariat I'm surprised it doesn't have the heated mirror. My XLT does, but maybe that's because it's a Canadian truck (mind you I don't have a heated rear window though).

The wire to the mirror heating feature will be:
Gray wire, power feed, both sides
Black w/violet tracer, drivers side goes to ground
Black w/yellow tracer, passenger side goes to ground
