UPDATE!!
I got a call over lunch by my service advisor of choice. He said they have isolated the steering rattle to the rack itself. It will be done within warranty, and then they will do an alignment after they replace the steering rack. Truck should be ready by tomorrow. So it looks like as long as the truck stays fixed this scenario will have a happy outcome!
For those who are interested, the only thing Ford Canada did for me was make the repair process a little more difficult by "flagging" my warranty, apparently telling the dealer they had to make sure that the leveling kit is not causing the problem. So that was pretty much an extra day, plus the weekend. This was pretty much my dealer and excellent service advisor.

Good to hear it's getting fixed, Ford Canada is useless I wouldn't involve them in a good crap. Mine goes back in on the 28th for the click in reverse and the newest sync update as my radio has been doing odd stuff since I got it, black screen, screen shut off, phone disconnects and so on. Did you take yours to universal?
