It is a little of topic but that it is own is kind of strange since this thread has gone where no man has gone before ,,, but,,,,,, The law states that the aftermarket part has to be directly the cause of the failure for the warranty claim to be denied... Now I ask you,,,, there is a thread here where they denied a claim on a folding mirror because the guy put black tint over the yellow reflector....... So explain how that broke the mirror? And please don't cheat by saying he installed the tint using a sledge hammer!

Yup your right. I hope and pray for your sake that you don't ever have an issue with your vehicle that Ford knows of and your stock and they deny your claim because you used premium gas when it recommends 87. Silly as it sounds.

Good luck

First 3 issues, good luck with a lift kit. The rest should be covered.

We know that the problem is a defect in our design and not that you put something on it that didn't come from the manufacture!

How about that one for a reply!! Honesty works well when you run a business!
You decide to make mods to your vehicle under warranty, be prepared to live with the consequences. Not saying the problems you mention don't exist. The choice to modify your vehicle runs the risk of being excluded from a well known problem.

You nailed it. Ford will use any reason they can to get out of fixing it under warranty.

Or... Some people will ignore what they agreed to and do whatever they want anyway. You make a choice, live with it. If you said your vehicle was completely stock and you were denied warranty it'd be a completely different story.

But what about all the denied claims for stock?

I'll take that as an affirmative on your part that Ford has big problems honoring customer's warranties.

Start a thread about that. I have never personally experienced that problem and have owned several ford vehicles.
