DAFUQ is it???

My truck just made that noise the other day for the first time on startup. It was about 15 degrees F outside. I started it and it rattled hard at startup. It went away after 1-2 seconds.

Any idea if its the fuel pump or what? No tunes on my truck.

GM still hasn't fixed their transmission issues. And the Ram is already having a lot of issues especially with paint. :/ Plus I don't like Dodges. I do like GM.

Well I hade an 08 Sierra as my first and loved it. Got rid of it after warranty ended and downgraded to a 12 Silverado and hated it. Struggled to get out but salesman turned miracle worker got me my 13 F150. I like it the most, but if Ford fell off, I think the new Chevs are the next best looking and the performance is fine. The interior is meh. As for Ram, I think the styling in and out is good but the performance is meh. Obviously I'm being very blunt about them, not gonna go into all the specs. But I could not drive the new Sierras, Tundras, and whatever else.

What was so different about the 12 Silverado that you hated? I had an 09 that I hated haha. My buddy has an 07 Sierra with 250,000kms and the only problem is that he had to disable the cylinder deactivation because it was causing knocking problems. Otherwise it's been fine. Decent truck.

I hated the Silverado for a couple reasons none of which I think you can really blame the truck for. One, the Sierra was loaded for its time. Heated leather seats, great performance, Bose sound system etc etc. The Silverado was an LT with nothing. It could not be more bare. I hated it because there was nothing to it, literally. The decision to switch was made over night and there was no research involved. Then I just liked the GM more, the color, the styling, the way it drove seemed better even though it was older. But I know the new Chevs have really stepped up. All around, even though I can't complain about any serious performance problems with mine.

should not compare different level trims...the obvious higher trim level will be favored. that don't make your old chev a bad truck...but the look GM has gone with them, leaves a lot to desire. I prefer the Gmc's looks over the chevy

Good news. I think I'm going to be getting out of my truck!

My dad pretty much agreed to loan me a bit of cash on top of my own contributions to help. He seems to think that the truck will be fine after I get it back this week but I'm not convinced. I figure that the best move is to get out of it now before it depreciates more.

I'm feeling much better now.

So are you going to wait until you get your truck back to decide? What kinda car are you wanting to get into? I hope it's a truck

Congrats on getting what you were wanting and I hope things are better on your future purchase.
