Truck found

Truck found two weeks after being stolen sitting on a side street. sounds like one of two things to me. As already mentioned, hooligans took it then got scared so dumped it. The other is now that they have the key they decided to dump it and wait until the heat is off. Come back at a later time once they have lined up a place to ditch it. Kind of like when someone's house gets broken into but nothing or hardly anything is taken then a month later the house gets cleaned out. They had a chance to see what you have and how to get in, anything taken has probably been replaced so they'll get the replacement as well.

Could this get any funnier?
Guy leaves money in truck, gets stolen.
Guy leaves keys in truck, truck gets stolen.
Guy finds stolen truck nearby?
You honestly deserve all grief you receive.

I had one friend whose truck was stolen from a mall parking lot and dumped literally about a block away...... but they cleaned out his stereo system and whatever else was in the cab......
Another had his Super Duty stolen and they dumped it about 2 miles from his house... None the less they racked up 600 miles on it in 3 days time, used it to haul a bunch of other stolen things away and left the interior a mess and almost every panel of the truck damaged......
Maybe someone just doesn't like this guy and enjoys screwing with him. I mean he did accuse me of stealing it and all in his first thread..... and I could see something like this if a person despised someone. But no I didn't go to Ontario to move some guys truck that I have never even noticed on the forum prior to his first stolen truck thread.
People do strange things..... this includes thieves lol.
Wouldn't surprise me if the guy that took the cash found the key the first time but chickened out..... risked it and came back for round 2 on a whim but this time took the truck and then chickened out again. A thief is not a rational mind generally.

Damn ....
Hell you guys are flipping ridiculous , Giving a guy crap for getting his truck ripped off just because he left his spare key in the console ... unless he left it unlocked to start with ...they still had to get in the truck and start it somehow cus I doubt they looked for a key to start it thief's are usually in a hurry ..... Unless it was someone who he knew (which is most likeley the deal ) or Its also possible that these Car thieves just found out how to break in and start a vehicle with a code reader ( i don't know what Kind or how its done) but they been doing it in Ca for a few yrs now ..... Never leave your garage door opener in your truck ...if they get that they have access to your house .. Arm yourself and use it when needed , more guns = less crime ..... NO guns = CRIME and lots of it .... Only the FACTS ..... no left leaning liberal lies here .... Just the truth !
