Truck died while driving
Coming home after a long day on the road Saturday with my truck, it died unexpectedly. I was able to coast far enough to pull off to an area wide enough to park without having to worry about someone hitting me. I was on a two lane road with soybeans on either side.
It would not crank or anything. I ended up having it towed to my mechanic so that they could look at it on Monday. They called me this afternoon and said that a fuse popped out on the passenger side when my wife pressed her foot along the edge, we think. I don't know which fuse it was, but they were able to pop it back in and it started right up.
I don't know if anyone else has ever run into this or not, but thought I'd throw it out here and see.

I don't know what fuse it was, but it wasn't melted or anything, just popped out.
A friend of mine that had a Ranger said he had the same kind of issue.

The question is - would this have happened if the fields on either side of the road were say, corn, instead of soybeans?
I thought that TSB was for a fuse under the hood, not on the passenger side?

If they would have picked those beans, this may have not been an issue. Corn, would have been gone already.
