Default Trucj shakes at 80 mph

Is anyone else experiencing your truck starting to shake when driving around 80 mph (+-5mph). Is it tire related or what?

As a first step I'd probably go have my tires re balanced.

Have the tire balance verified. Else you could be chasing gremlins.

Yeah I've checked it numerous times and noticed it was about 1 psi off on one or two tires but that's it

I have a 2012 XLT same issue as well as a very light grinding or vibration that's intermittent, almost like the 4x4 didn't completely disengage. Check my wheel bearing, u-joints, etc nothing out of whack and it's pretty minor but I'd like to figure it out before it turns into an ordeal.

Did you get them balanced or did you just check the pressure in them?

Get the tires balanced and check your rotors. Had mine turned and the tires rebalanced, made a world of difference.

I only checked the pressure inside them. I'll have to get them balanced in the next day or so

There's no grinding at all for me. Just feels as if the truck isn't stable at higher speeds. A buddy said his tires were only rated at 83 mph so I looked that up and mine says 123 so that shouldn't be an issue.

Could very well be the rotors. This day in age I would just upgrade to some better ones if that's the case instead of turning them
