Does anyone know for sure if its possible to just use the 5100s up front with the McGaughys to gain 2"?? The truck does no "off roading"

coilovers, leveling spacer, 5100s all can be used to achieve the same effect with similar problems and benefits. and slightly different costs, ride quality, and install difficulties.

EDIT: looking at the picture has me vexed. I guess the lift kit really changed the location of the control arms because normally the wheels are NOT that far forward. now I see why you are concerned about the front bumper now. But the answer is indeed yes you can cut the bumper if you like.... but it may not look quite right. you would be better off and possibly cheaper with an ADD front bumper like S3M has on his truck or the fenders like you mentioned before. However I dont really like the fenders, they look kinda odd even when painted.

If I could get the 5100s to work and give me another 2" without having to get new upper control arms that would be great, but everything I have seemed to find says that won't work with my lift…??

I do not see why not. they use differential drop brackets so the half shafts are not a problem. use standard spacers to get the suspension height back.... unless you have a 2014, then coilovers or the 5100s will work fine and neither requires an UCA change

You should offer a package deal on your site for the setup on that truck. I'm sure it will sell pretty well. I'd be very interested in it.

Okay, you've talked me into it. We had already had a lot of request for our kit so here it is as 1 part number with a handful of options.

I really need to figure out what I am going to do… I need to order tires before the snow flies around here (within a month)… From all of the builds that I have seen on here with guys who also run the McGaughys lift, when they lifted more they used coil overs and also had to get different UCAs… I have just heard from some people that by going up another 2" or so that my spring will hit the McGaughys UCA… HELP ME PLEASE!!!

your UCA looks as flat as the stock one does, so I see no issue with going 2.5-3" lift with the coilovers. If there is an issue elsewhere, I can't comment due to not seeing anything else, but I do not see a concern with the UCA unless the wheels are the issue. my UCA will hit the spring at 3" of lift if I have the wheels off the ground. If they do not lose contact then they will not hit the spring. Technically you can also rotate the spring so that the spring coil is rotated away from the UCA bar when it is at full droop giving you more distance.... Something to think about. Personally I'd do it in a heartbeat.... and if F150Lifts makes a suspension lift, then I probably will.

Thanks man! So no rubbing at the inner fender?? Do you know the offset of your wheels?
