Default Erratic shifting and surging

First time poster but I have used these forms lots of times for good information. I'm hoping somebody can help me out with my problem for my 2012 F150 EcoBoost with the 3.5 litre engine. Noticed got the truck I've been shifting funny the odd time between 3 + 4 a few weeks back. Took it into a shop and he suggested that it needed an update on the transmission from Ford.
I got that done and the problem has only gotten worse. Shifting is erratic between all gears. Doesn't seem to do it while in manual mode just seem a little better. While coasting my RPMs will flutter between 1200 and 1500 and the truck will surge. While coming to a stop on downshifts I can also feel that same surge. Ships are sometimes delayed a bit or make a clunk noise and feel a little bit hard. I took it into a transmission shop and that Tech took it for drive with me hooked up to a scanner and of course it didn't do it for him. Truck ran smooth because that's my luck. Problem is slowly been getting worse and of course everybody keeps telling me they can't do anything because it's not showing any codes. I did drop the pan last Sunday and change the oil and filter nothing really bad in the pan didn't find any chunks just a little bit of carbon buildup on the magnet.
plugs have been done about 40k ago.
any help would be great I'm really stuck out of had to borrow a buddies truck to do our camping trip in two days because quite honestly I don't trust this truck to get me there in one piece

Thanks
Sorry if any spelling mistakes I'm using google to type this Haha

Have you had the battery unhooked since getting the software flash? Try 15 minutes if you haven't.

I haven't done it but I would've assumed the stealership would
I can give it a try although I was under the impression that ford has to reset the adaptive learning

Don't need them, just do 15 minutes. No doubt the work included a reset, if they updated the software, that's obvious. But, sometimes another one a few days later helps. Not sure why, but it does. Software, computers, annoying

If that doesn't fix it instantly, I'd take it back and complain about the update.

After disconnecting the battery for 20 minutes and driving it around it seemed okay for the first part of the drive then shut down and restarted and it started doing it again. Although to be fair this problem comes and goes it just seems like it's happening more often than not. During the RPMs surging up and down I did notice when taking a corner the surging would stop and after I got around the corner the surging would start again.
It does seem to be a little more common when the truck is colder but continues on sometimes when it's hot. It is driving me nuts. Like I said before transmission fluid and filter were changed all my map sensors got cleaned few weeks back only one of the three were dirty.
if anyone has any other ideas or suggestions please let me know. It still is not throwing any codes and when I got home last night was surging so much I honestly thought it was going to stall

So after leaving it with a shop for a week while away they found a total of jack squat

Tech had it out on 3 separate occasions hooked up to a scanner. While it was doing the erratic hard shifts and the surging rpms it showed all systems running normal

He has suggested the dealer as my last resort. I am considering just trading it in for what I can get and let them deal with it as I am at a loss.

if anyone has run into these same issues and has any insight please let me know

cheers

I’m thinking they should replace the lead frame.
