Personally I think Ford needs to issue more recalls, lol. I drove a 2014 Silverado white 4x4 CCSB and I came home with it. It's not the power of the ecoboost but it's at least and maybe slightly faster than the 5.0L.

The doors are solid and seal shut like crazy, they feel very solid. Interior noise is almost non-existent. I'm not a fan of the AFM, but it is pretty un-noticeable unless you delete the muffler. The ride is phenomenal...the power delivery is also very nice. The brake feel is better...and the rev matching in the transmission is very nice. HEADLIGHTS are very bright compared to the F-150.

Overall, I think the new Sierra/Silverado is better than the current Ford...2015 and that all changes again, lol.

All vehicle doors are solid and feel tight when new...after a few thousand opens and closes, they all tend to loosen up. Now my truck is extremely quiet. Is there a difference in f150 trim levels in terms of insulation and sound reducing features? My ride quality is great! (no 10 ply LTs for me) and my ecoboost gives me plenty of poop! My HIDs are great and overall, the truck is also great! I'm not trying to dump on your post hear but these are all the reasons I chose the f150 truck.

Yes there is actually a sound difference between models. The FX2 and up trims get a sound deadening windshield.

---Like I said I came from a 2013 F150 Ecoboost 4x4 Off-Road (again stiffer ride).

The 2014 Sierra/Silverado ride is confusing to describe. The ride is "firmer" than the F150 but is better...I don't feel as many vibrations, I guess.

The door sills are def thicker and the doors have been in-layed (IE: they fit tighter). The doors feel a lot better than my F150. Also the HOOD feels better, lol. The f150 hood is a little -- flimsy on the close.

The ecoboost def has more power, just not as much as one would expect. The 5.3L feels more powerful than our 5.0L scabs 4x4's that I've driven on duty several times. It's rated 355/383 and on E-85 goes to 380/416----and the dyno's show it at like 307 whp and 332ish lbs of tq. Not bad at all and it looks like GM left some room on the table.

Power is like this EcoBoost>5.3L>5.0L...I think that 2015 will be a great change for Ford....IF they have fixed the issues they claim to have.

My issue is Ford's band-aid approach to issues on MY truck. The Overall Ford's engines are great engineering marvels...the 5.0L is def de-tuned. Side note my Silverado is def killing the mileage my ecoboost made. 22.7MPG's over 50 miles on 70% highway and 30% city....over 25 miles of 100% highway at around 72mph she got 24+mpg.

I drove a 2014 STX that had the SoundScreen. It seems that the 2014 XLT's have it as well.

The part I probably dislike the most about the new GMC/Chevy trucks is the square wheel wells. Tires are round, why are the wheel wells square?

It reminds me of the first Avalanche model chevy made, with the flat top wheel wells...this is by far one of the ugliest trucks I've ever seen.

you guys act like those square wheel wells on a Chevy are new... they've been doing it forever.
