Nice truck! I've been thinking of doing the exact same thing!
What's your payload cap on the Platinum with max tow?

145" wheel base Supercrew 4X4 max tow package with 3.73 gears. 7650 GCWR, 11200 max tow limit. More than I'll ever pull with it...Payload capacity is 1900.

7650 GVWR. GCWR would be truck/trailer weight

Nice truck. I did a similar thing trading my 2010 lariat equipped same as yours for a 2013 platinum and I noticed the same improvements. As pointed out you could have taken the $1k FoFinance rebate and then refinanced it, that's what I did--FoFinance had my business for about 20 days.

One quibble, I would prefer 19 inch to the 20 inch wheels that come with the Plat, I think the ride would be better.

Sound insulation in the fenders and engine bay on a platinum? I've never heard that before. I thought the platinum had a better sound insulated windshield but that was it.

I also used Ford Financing to get the extra rebate, then refinanced for a better rate and Lower payment!

I didn't know about that either till I got it home and was looking at it closer...nothing even talks about the door panels either. Alot of little things i've noticed. Including the "SoundScreen" instead of a "regular" windshield.

Probably true about the ride quality...However I already have 20" studded snow tires for winter and still haven't gotten around to purchasing another set of rims for them (maybe after vegas trip in Oct.).
