All I'm saying is that the introduction of the 2017 Raptors isn't going to help keep the prices high, so if I were looking for a used raptor right now I'd take my chances waiting. The fact that there was no 2016 model made them even more of a hot commodity and a new model coming it will help cool it off a bit.

I'd wait just based on the amount that will come on the market over the next year compared to now.

I was thinking about this the other day. I think the current Raptor with the 6.2L will be one of those vehicles that will retain it's desirability despite the fact that it's an older version. Kind of like the Toyota Supra. Unless Ford changes their plans with the next gen Raptor, then this will be the only Raptor you can get with a V8, and even though the new one will make more power from factory, I don't think it'll make more power when you start putting on power adders. So basically, you have a better foundation for customization with the current Raptor than you will with the new one. At least in the power department.

I think the 6.2 will cater to a few people more, but the majority that want a raptor and can afford brand new will get the new version.

I have thought about trading for a Raptor a few times. Then I watch 6-7 youtube videos of people jumping them and suddenly have no desire to buy a used one. Not for the prices they want for them.

that's always a concern when buying a used performance vehicle. I can tell you that my experience owning and being a member of the svt community, that the ppl who abuse them are in the minority. Most owners are car enthusiast that take good care of their vehicles. That said, I would never buy a used raptor from a dealership.

I suggest waiting for the new ones to come out. Used values are too high because of supply and demand. New ones are negotiable on price with the right dealer.... Never pay the addendum price. If interested, check out federal auctions, the border patrol versions of the Raptor are being phased out.

I had an 03 redfire convertible. I miss it horribly to the point I have been considering selling my f150 and getting another terminator and a beater truck for winter and hauling

mine was a silver hard top. My truck will be paid for in January, and the wife already knows another mustang is coming. Either another terminator or building a fix body coupe with a super charged 4v.
