I used a heavy duty homemade set of slapper bars on my Lightning until I reached the lower 12 second range. I then switched to the JLP style long bar at that point.

The only real draw back to the slapper bar is that it claps the rear leaf spring on both sides of the axle which will stiffen the ride some in the rear. These are Lakewood model 21715 $133 shipped from Summit. No more wheel hop and great traction.

My favorite is the long bars but they are expensive ($400+) range. They don't really hurt ride quality and have a bit of a Panhard bar effect by stabilizing the rear end more side to side.

If you are making big power the long bar is the way to go.

Just heard back from Bryan @ Stiffler!

I asked if the 09-14 bars are still going to be made.

Yes Wayne they are, if all goes well should have install pic of final part in about a week. Have had a lot of changes going on which have put most development on hold for a while, finally getting back to it now.

Buystifflers.com is his website if that's what your asking. If you asking for a link to the 09-14 bars there isn't one yet because he hasn't put them on there yet.

Are these going to be a full length tubular frame mounted heim bar? Ideally that's what I'm looking for. I know PMF will make a set of the full floating bars but they can be upwards of $1100

.
Too bad those weren't down below the axle, like even with the bottom of the shock mount. Geometry says those won't help much when it comes to axle wrap.

Couldn't agree with you more about the ProComp bars. Locations of the bar on the axle just isn't in the correct location.

Yes they will be. Here are pics of the OLD design. I do not have pics of the new design.
