The "issue" is that the bar length needed for the Raptor/Lifted F-150 would require the frame bracket to be mounted to the flats part of the frame and not the curved part. The problem with that is that it will hang down roughly 4" and some people may not like that due to clearence issues. I personally don't have a problem with it, there's other **** that would hit well before the bracket.

So Brian and I brain stormed the other day about possible solutions to this "issue" he said he would try a few things and if he can't get it to work he will just design 2 different bars.

I stressed to him that I appreciated the amount of calculations, thought, time, and designing he has put into them to make them the best possible BUT people want them and they want them now/soon and if he continues to take so long he may lose protential buys. He understands that and is ok with it kowning that once they are released it will be the best and most thought out design for our trucks. He much rather spend the time to make sure there the best and not just bars you bolt.

Caltracs can handle loads of power. I have a buddy thats into diesel performance and alot of guys are running caltracs. Trucks with upwards of 1200 ft/lbs of torque. You can get them made for any application. Call them and tell them what your setup is. They tell you the measurements that they need to build them. Plus they actually work. Unlike a lot of the ones out there.

In the Lightning World Caltracs seam to be HP limited. Meaning once you make upwards of 600HP Long Bars work better. I will never being to that point with this truck but I want long bars personally not Caltracs.

I don't see how they can be hp limited on a lightning with 600hp. But work great on a a f-250 with 800hp and 1200 lb. Ft. Torque. In a handling debate the caltracs are way better than long bars. I have a 2009 RCSB that im lowering 3/5.5 and i want to keep it from hopping in corners. You will always have a little hop, beacause of the live axle. Plus Caltracs transfer the weight to the back tires more efficient. In my opinion they are better. But everyone has their own opinion of what they think is best. It also wouldn't hurt to install a rear sway bar(hellwig 1 1/8")

I can't remember enough to argue back and forth but IIRC it was because the Caltracs pushes against the leaf to prevent wrap, well that leverage cause the leaf to bent in a different spot and when it "unloaded" it would make his truck start spinning. It was suggested to go with longbars and it help! His truck dynoed last Saturday at 672RWHP and 693RWTQ.

Personally never seen a diesel with caltracs. All I have seen and installed have been long bars. I also know someone who is shooting for the world record for a diesel truck and he had long bars when he was running a 9s not its tubed and 4-linked.

Not saying they don't work. They do! Actually have a set in my shop right now for me to install on a friends truck. Just havnt had time to yet.

Sorry if this is off-subject, but I was just wondering if it was possible to install a set of traction bars and a hellwig rear sway bar.

I dont see why not. Just depends how's the sway bar mounts to the rearend. The traction bars mount to the threads of the U-Bolts. If the sway bar mounts another why it shouldn't be a problem at all.

I hated my caltracs one f250. I still got axle wrap with them, especially pulling. Full length frame mounted bars or nothing.

Love my Stifflers long bars on my 03 Lightning, would love a set of these for my super crew. I understand Brian wants to make the best product possible but I am seeing this turn into LCAs for Lightnings like timeline..."Two more weeks"....

Been watching this thread for some time and it looks like Stiffler's put these bars on the backburner for the time being. Probably just give in and pony up the cash for the oneupoffroad's traction blocks.
