They aren't cheap as it was said but keep in mind mine are $100-125 higher than the normal price due to me getting them a custom color.

But in the end, the benefit of them out weights the cost in my opinion.

I had originally decided to not install them(traction bars) until I installed my F150lifts.com 5100 Coils and 2" rear blocks and 5100s. I already ought the rear lift and blocks, still saving for the front coils. But who knows I may install them before I get the front coils.

I'd also add that the JLP bars are $450ish + $45ish for shipping putting then near the cost of the Stiffler bars. The benefit of the Stifflers over the JLP bars is the heim joints, making them adjustable. This alone out weights the small price different. And JLP customer service blows! Stifflers is top notch!

I was told $475+Shipping. The JLP bars are $450+Shipping, I'd say the heims and customer service is well worth the extra $25!

That's my bad. Last night I thought you said that was the base price. So with that said I'd say these are about where they should be IMO. I'm really interested in seeing some final pictures once you get them off and on the truck. Can you make that happen for us?

So from what I've learned most traction bars reduce your ability to haul/tow. My truck is my DD I use for work so I can't have that. Anybody know some kind of traction bar setup that won't reduce my hauling weight?

This is some what true but some what false. Long bar designed traction bars do limit suspension travel some what. This is due to the rotation axis the bars cause. Hard to explain but it basically causes the axle to move in a arch instead of the up and down. This can/could cause some be "binding" when hauling or towing but if the bars are set up correctly it's very minimal. The spring, spring bushings and shackle absorber almost all of this. This was my fear when I first started talking to Bryan @ Stiffler months ago. He did the math and showed that it's very very minimal. And these calculation were down with the shorter 42" bars. He now offers a long bar which reduces the binding even more. My truck is a DD, I tow often, and haul often and based off the calculations Bryan did and my past experience with traction bars I have no worries what so ever!

The only bar design I feel still allows full travel without bending are floating traction bars. Like Fabtech and Rize but these designs are much much more expensive around $1200-1500.

So with that being said if you decide to get a set of bars from Stiffler, chat with Bryan, I'm sure he will ask you for measurements off your truck and do the calculations to show you the amount of movement as he has done for me. But as I said it's very minimal which isn't a concern to me.

BTW, I'm no suspension or traction bar expert but I do have a very lengthy background in owning lifted trucks, installing lifts on trucks and owning trucks with traction bars as well as installing many sets and believe I have the knowledge to understand how they work and the possible issues they could cause and I'm not worried one bit.

Just something else to think about, almost every friend I have with a lifted F250 has traction bars and tow, much more than I do and never EVER had issues. Google F250 Sled Pulling, damn near ever truck that pulls sleds have tractions. And I'd say that that environment creates much more potential for bending and those guys don't have issues caused by traction bars.

Here's my old truck on 38s and traction bars, as you can see it still flexes and tows just fine.

Thanks a lot. I ve been doing lots of research on the subject but there s nothing like first hand experience. There are videos showing axle wrap on YT so I some what know what you re talking about.

Good to know these things are being taken into consideration. My truck is the 157" wheelbase so hopefully stifflers can accommodate. They seem like the best bet atm. I will talk to Bryan when the time comes.

Spoke to Bryan again yesterday, he said he is wrapping up production of the bars and it should be late next week. Keep checking his site and Lightningrodder.com for updates.
