Default TPMS question

OK, swapped my 2011 18" Lariat tires and wheels for some 2012 20" Platinum tires and wheels. Got the TPMS message a few days later. Not really an issue except to press the OK button to remove the message. Tried training and would go into training mode but at the left front tire, never could get a response. Today I went to my dealer for an oil change. They also tried training, after tires rotated. Same results I had gotten. They started with the BS when I asked if warranty would cover replacements. This was in the Quick Lane, so I went to my service manager. He said he would hook up their computer and change the tires to 20's and go from there. Any positive comments of your experience or knowledge? Thanks.

As for the from the 2012 20" Platinum LF wheel ...
Unless you can prove the mileage of the wheels and verify that the TPMS are OEM, factory installed I could understand the dealership claim of not being under warranty. *After all, the TPMS could be after-market and/or used.
Regarding recalibrating for the purpose of the speedometer ...
As long as the tires are the OEM, stock sizes ( 265/60(4x2) | 275/65(4x4) for 18" and 275/55 for 20" ) there is absolutely no need for a flash because the wheel diameter is essentially the same and the swap would not affect the
I've swapped 18" > 20" > 18" > 17" > 20" (all with OEM, stock tire sizes) and have never had a issue.

Unless you want the sensors you can turn the system off (or at least make it so there is no chime or message). Just turn off you seat belt chime and it also takes care of your TPMS. I just bought new rims and tires, for my 2012 FX4, did not put sensors in the new ones, turned off my seat belt chime, and have driven 150 miles without a TPMS sensor chime or message.

3/36 Warranty doesn't cover tpms sensors, only for 12/12 as they are easily broken on pot holes, or on tire machines
