Default TPMS Problem 2010 F150

I purchased a 2010 F150 XLT Super Crew and bought a set of 2013 FX4 wheels and tires. Since then my tire pressure monitoring light has come on. It originally said on my display tire sensor fault. Took it to the dealer ship and they said it wouldn't clear and I needed to bring it back and hook it up to to Fords computer. Something they said they couldn't do on the weekends. Now it shows Low Tire Pressure when i turn my truck on. Not sure what they dis would cause it to change. Plus it wouldn't allow them to disable my daytime running lights. Is there any suggestions to this? I read in the manual that I might need to retrain my sensors and I read in another forum that over pressure can cause the light to come on. I did put from 35psi to 40psi in my tires originally to see if it would clear. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The dealer can reset them. I don't know if being over pressurized causes a light or not.

I took it to them this Saturday. They said it wouldnt reset. I guess I am going to take it back to them this Friday. Still not sure why it went from saying Tire Sensor Fault to Low Tire Pressure. Wish my truck didn't have this system. I am old school and don't need something to tell me my tires are low on pressure.

You should be able to reset the tpm's. Are you sure that the new wheels have them in there? You can buy a reset tool online for around $30. Good luck!

The guy I bought the set from said they had them. He took them off of his 2013 FX4 and put toyo mt's with xd monsters after only putting 400 miles on the truck. So they were practically brand new. He could of blowed smoke up my butt though. I am going to take it back to the dealer ship this Friday to see what they say.

i had a similar issue with my 09 when i bought new tires. went round and round with the stealership for a long time. my son convinced me to run nitrogen in my tires, and i havent seen the light since then.

make sure you have the sensors with your new to you set and get the reset tool, run some nitrogen. i am guessing that with the problem i experienced there may have been moisture in the particular wheel that was causing the error.

KLM

get the just right detent 3.0
