TPMS Headaches Again

Same ol' story with trying to get these wheels mounted. The lip on the Saleen wheels is preventing the TPMS from seating properly since the TPMS sensor stem is too short, so another wasted trip to get these wheels put on.

Can I just use the banded sensors and have my local dealer turn out the idiot light? I've lost many trying to get these wheels put on, only to have another issue come up.

I did at least get the right lug nuts this time. If only I could get this TPMS issue out of the way.

I think there is a banded sensor that operates on the same frequency as the stem type. Someone had mentioned the part number in a thread about 8 months ago. Might take some searching but it was mentioned and is on here.

I've searched and searched and searched. Can't quite get a concrete answer. If so, then I'll just suck it up and pick up the band sensors tomorrow so I can finally get these things on. They've been sitting in my garage for 2 weeks and can't get them on.

Try to search for the thread. Because I think there is to types of banded sensors.

I've searched a little and don't see it. If you find banded that work for a 2009. Then they should work all the way to 2012. It seems that 2009 they ran both banded and stem type from what I gather from reading the posts.

They are the correct frequency. I personally would try them. I would be able to sell them on eBay if they didn't work and I would only be out the $100 to mount and balance.

If you do run them. Give the truck time to reset. I just had a low tire and it took 2 start/ run cycles before it reset itself.

Buy a BullyDog GT Tuner and turn them off. Thats how I fixed my problems. Turned the light off, works amazing!

Cool I didn't know bullydog would let you fiddle with the tpms. I have the advantageIII software for SCT and never noticed any tabs for the tpms. But I kinda like the tpms feature and would try to keep it working if I could.

Guess it is what the customer demands as a feature that the tuner companies decide to listen too. It is a great feature to add to a tuner.

I ordered them and will have them by next Wednesday. Will repost once I get them installed. In the mean time, I got the wheels on, but I may make a TPMS bomb this weekend to keep the idiot light out.
