I wonder when they revised that. Last time I looked it was 7 years on average. Maybe they stopped using Duracell and went with Energizer.

There's designed and your mileage may vary and then there's reality. As with anything that's electrical ya spin the wheel and takes ya chances.

As for me ... If I'm working with 6-7-year-old TPMS sensors it's not worth it to not change 'em for new.

And I am unamimous on that.

Mine went out during the 7th year. I bought a set of Motorcraft tpms sensors on ebay for $30. Sam’s club installed them for $5 each. And they did balancing for free.

Exactly my point. Which by definition nullifies the Motorcraft specs you posted.
