Default Tpms

2011 F150 XLT - I’m going to grab some 2019 Raptor wheels and tires of Facebook marketplace. They already have the TPSM sensors in them. Any advice on relearning them to my truck? Will I have issues with it being a 2011 system learning a 2019 TPMS sensor. Can I just grab that gray Ford TPMS device on Amazon to do the relearn?

I want to say the frequency of the TPMS’s changed at some point so they may not be compatible with your truck. I would verify the part number for your truck and the raptor wheels are the same.

Since the 2019 TPMSs are seven years old, you may want to think about installing new ones.

I have the same device to program them to my 14.

Edit. I did a search and it looks like they are the same TPMS.

I bought the generic $8.99 version of that tpms tool on amazon and it worked fine on my 2015.

Used the brake pedal /ignition key dance proceedure with the tpms tool to program my new sensors.

this is the only method that works for 2009-2014. the hazard button pushing method won't.

I believe the frequency changed in 2015 to 433mhz so, the sensors in the Raptor wheels will not work with the TPMS system in your 2011 (315mhz). You can always just swap in the old sensors and then just drive, it should reset itself.

The tpms frequency changed to 433Mhz in 2020 for US market trucks so they will work, if the sensors are good.

433Mhz sensors were used prior to 2020 in euro market vehicles.

@Lukin75 theres a lot of mixed answers here. But no, the sensors for any truck 2015 or newer will not work with the tpms system in a 12th gen.
