Default Towing

The wife gave the OK on getting a PWC, yeah!! Not sure if I’m getting one or two. The question is should I spend the $$ and get an IBC installed on my 09? I don’t know much about towing and not sure if the IBC will even be worth it on just towing a couple of PWC. Thoughts?

Your talking bout Seadoo's here rite? And a Brake controller? The PWC trailer won't have electric brakes so no need for a BC.

We tow two SeaDoo 3 seaters. Dry weight for each is about 900#. Figure in trailer weight and two tanks of gas in them and its under 3000#. Our new SCrew 5.4l doesnt even know they're back there. They ride well and stop well.

The only PWC trailers I've run across around here (TX, LA) with brakes are 4 place with dual axles.

Check your state's laws. Some states reqire trailer brakes on trailers with less GVW than Texas does. Two of the larger SeaDoos, gas, trailer and stuff might be over that state's limit.

Even without trailer brakes, that truck has that trailer sway control on it so that should help if it gets to swaying!

The wife doesn't want her own. I figured I would just get one bad a** one that I can tube & ski behind. We always go camping w/ friends that have boats so it will be ok. Leaning towards a Yamaha

She says that now, wait until she is riding behind you for more than 20 minutes and is eating your back going over 10 knots... A lot more fun to drive them then ride 2nd seat...
