Default Towed with my F150 5.0 for the first time...

First time towing with the 2013 and I gotta tell yah, I was impressed. My car/trailer doesn't weigh much. But I could hardly tell there was anything behind me at all. Overall I put about 240 miles on towing and averaged 13.8 MPG with the cruise set to 72-75 mph.

Glad you're liking it!

I've done a bit of towing and some hauling of decent sized loads in my bed recently, and I'm really impressed with the 5.0!

I've not owned an F-150 before, but my best friend has driven/owned them since high school. I've driven all of his: '98 Lariat 4.6L, '04 XLT 4.6L, '08 Fx4 5.4L, '10 Raptor 5.4L, '11 Raptor 6.2L, and '13 Raptor 6.2L.

I have to say, aside from the raptors w/6.2L, my STX with the 5.0 is by far the best overall tower/hauler.

Nice looking 'Stang you're pulling... Looks like it's set up for Drag? What's it run?

Nice, I pulled my car trailer with my 98 Cobra to the strip and was getting 13.6. I'm glad Im not the only 5.0 guy getting decent mileage with a trailer.

Please tell us what you were doing with the stang!

Need details of the Stang!!! I have a 91GT I hope to be towing to the track soon. Last time it only ran 8.0's in the 1/8th. But, I only have a HCI 302 with a 4.56. Need to get in the 7's all motor before I spray it or build a stroker. Added some lift bars, underdrives, and a crystal for the computer (to keep it from cutting out at 7,300 rpm) since last trip. Good tow report. no doubt any of the Ford trucks right now can tow impressively.
