I ordered mine on my 2013 FX4 and they remind me of the mirrors I had on my F250. I thought they looked large and odd at first, but I've gotten used to them and wouldn't have anything else when towing. Personally I think the standard mirrors look like puny minivan mirrors IMO, especially on jacked up F150 with a 5.5' bed.

I have to agree with morehousej. I run my own investor services company and do a lot of landscape work in the summer, pulling a 16' x 6.5' open trailer. I have had tow mirrors on my 2010 since new. (towing package) I don't see any better with them than with my other truck with regular mirrors. They're a pain in the *** plowing snow, especially in tight quarters with trees around, I can way too easily back one of them into a tree, edge of a garage, or other object. When I broke the second one this past winter I was going to replace mine with regular mirrors, but I found a set of new take-off tow mirrors on eBay for $80 so I just put the tow mirrors back on instead even though I just don't like them. They're in the way too much for me. Obviously it's just personal preference, but for me and my situations, I don't like them and don't really need them. Stupid Dumbo ears.

Well I have put about 400 Miles on the truck now with the tow mirrors. About 200-300 of that was while towing an 8 foot wide trailer. 200 on the interstate and about 100ish on back roads. I highly recommend them. They are great quality, and a super easy install. All you have to do is take off each door panel, and unscrew a few bolts on each mirror, unplug a wiring harness, and then put the new ones on!

Guess I was lucky, as my '10 with trailer tow pkg, came with the trlr tow mirrors, and I love them, whether towing or not. When towing our 25' trailer, they are essential, for me. Yes, they do stick out, even when not extended, but I have learned to live with that. Love those mirrors. When I was buying my truck (Sept '10) they found one without the mirrors, but they installed them for me at no extra charge, as they should have been there.
