Tow mirrors or not?

I would not cough up the $$$ for towing mirrors just for looks.
However, if you have not driven with towing mirrors before, it is night and day. That larger convex mirror eliminates 99.9% of your blind spot on both sides and is phenomenal for highway driving.
This was the first thing I upgraded on both my trucks, even though I do not tow often.
One word of warning, my wife is 5'-1" and she has complained that they do block her view a little when turning left and she has to move her head to look around those massive things. It is not a problem for my and I am only 5'-10".

I have the factory tow mirrors on my 2011. They are priceless when I tow my travel trailer. But just going off looks alone, I think they look goofy on a 1/2 ton. If I didn't tow I wouldn't want them.

Beer, Boats, and Trucks.
I think on a stock half ton it definitely looks goofy. On a half ton that has a lift and some aggressive tires and maybe some other aggressive features I can see it fitting much better.

I agree. I've seen them on leveled long bed F150's and I honestly mistake them for Superduty's!

Ever had any complaints about the bubble being to dark at night thru tint? The ones Keystone makes are useless at night i could loose a complete car in the bubble they were so dark... it's like they were tinted themselves...

I guess different strokes...but, I have had tow mirrors on my last two F150s. I love them, but I came from driving F250s which all had tow mirrors. I think they look better and they sure are more functional. I will say that the '14 tow mirrors look better that the '10 mirrors.

wait. what?
I have OEM powerscope tow mirrors on my 2014 KR. I love them for the visibility and power fold. I hate them for the wind noise and the interesting phenomenon where they pull insects and stuff into the side of the truck. I constantly have bug splatters on the side windows and if I'm driving with the windows down I end up with dead bugs squished onto both the front of the B-pillar and the rear seat backs. it's really strange but I noticed the same thing with my friend's Super Duty so I'm thinking it has to be the mirrors causing it. the older style tow mirrors I had on my 2010 never did either of those things.
